Home Schooling

These are a few of the reasons why I prefer to home school my daughter. I don't believe the school system's "learning environment" is helpful for my daughter. Most teachers are not bright. I don't want people like that teaching my kids to be dumb like them. They teach children to follow rules and think inside the box. I want to teach my daughter to think outside the box. I want her to be smarter. I want her to apply herself. Most of all, I want her to have my values and not the values society and school system enforce upon her. School, if I remember it correctly, is like a day prison camp. They take all the fun out of being a kid. There's no way I will subject my daughter to that.

The articles below help explain some of my thoughts on teaching and training.

In terms of socialization, I wouldn't want my daughter to be placed in a situation where she is subjected to the harassment of immoral kids at an early stage. That could affect her for the rest of her life. Some kids are very mean and cruel. Who knows what those kids learned from their immoral parents. I want to be there and oversee the socialization my daughter gets. It's important for kids to socialize but I don't believe in the school systems version of socializing.

Hong Kong Films

I used to like the old Hong Kong films in the late 70's, early 80's when they had real kung masters and good acting in the movies. Movies such as Executioners from Shaolin, 36 Chambers of Shaolin and Prodigal Son were well done. Nowadays, the Hong Kong films coming out have bad acting, bad kung fu, and a pretty poor storyline. Now they are floating on houses and rivers across the sky. The fighting is so bad they have to speed up the fight scenes so as not to make it obvious the scenes are pretty poor. They seem to have a common theme of "poor me, there's nothing I can do about my life because I am a loser". Somehow this attracts the Asian crowd. They go nuts over these films. I watch them and feel sick to my stomach.

If I wanted fantasy, I'd watch Bugs Bunny. At least I'd get good laughs, and the guy is pretty clever. You gotta admire his spirit. :)

Old movies like Executioners from Shaolin showed people who had a drive for achieving their goals despite the hardships they were placed in. They showed tenacity and strength, courage, honor, dignity. They pushed their way through until they were victorious.

Update

I have 3 excellent job opportunities offered in writing and many more companies are interested. These positions offer me opportunities I could not have even imagined in my last position. I believe this is going to be a great new adventure for me.

NLP/Hypnosis Forums

I am often asked why I don't post on NLP/Hypnosis forums like the mindlist. The main reason I don't post there is because most of people who post on these forums are disrespectful idiots. They totally treated well known and well respected NLP Trainer Rex Sikes like he was lower than dirt and with total disrespect. They didn't even give him the dignity of humane treatment. This was done with the backing of the mindlist moderator(s). Rex Sikes is 10x - 1000x more skilled than the majority of the posters on the mindlist.

The other reason I don't post there is because most of the people who post on these forums work at McDonald's or have equivalent pay. They brag about how great their skill is yet can manage to get a real job. When they can show me they have more skills than getting a customer to super-size their fries, then I may take them seriously. This includes the moderator(s), of course. It's as if getting a customer to super-size their fries is some great feat. :)
