Past Week
This past week, lots of things have been happening. I enjoyed a wonderful time on Christmas with Beth's family. They were wonderful hosts. The new year was great.
I met two Adepts in Taoist Sexual practices. Wow! Finally everything I did and read in books came together. You know a little bit here in one book, a little bit there. It's good to meet someone who is versed in it and correct the things you did wrong. I wasted no time in applying their guidance. Wow! Sex only gets better. :) Much of my internal energy has been corrected. I feel a strong sense of internal balance, ie. vitality.
Dim Mak ("The Death Touch"). Quite an interesting topic. I've been doing work on on Dim Mak as of late. I am able to apply my strikes to one touch death points during free sparring. Yes! When fighting multiple opponents, it is best not to spar with them. It is better to use Dim Mak points to take them out quickly. I used to watch advertised Dim Mak videos in '95. Most of those advanced videos are amateur level, for the fact that the strikes and setup they require are hard to pull off in a street fight.
Sticky Hands, the purpose of learning to gain entry to Dim Mak strikes. This takes 2-3 seconds after crossing hands. If someone is taking 30 seconds during free sparring to apply this, like competition push hands, to find an opening then they cannot use that in a fight effectively (especially against multiple opponents). You apply it within 2-3 seconds with Sticky Hands and gain the Death Point strike. Very fast. Very quick. This way you can take out multiple people quick. Say 3 people are attacking you. They will come at you one at a time, some at a time, or all at a time. The purpose is to angle yourself so that only one is facing you and rest is blocked by someone in their group. This gives you a couple of seconds to manuever your footwork. The first one comes, bam bam bam. Using strikes, sticky hands, and dim mak, he should be "dead" 2-3 seconds. He is not technically dead yet but for fighting purposes he is disabled. The second and third guy will manuever around the first guy that fell. This brings up the point that you will have to learn to fight when someone is behind you. As you turn the second guy is facing you, and the third guy is behind you. You must learn to strike at someone from behind you, especially if he rushes to you before the guy in front has attacked. If the guy in front attacks first, it is easy, as you use footwork, sticky hands, and dim mak strikes to finish him. If the guy in the back attacks first and momentarily by the guy in front, this causes problems. Again you must use footwork, and let the guy from behind attack in the path of the guy in front of you. As they attack in each other's path, you take out the guy that used to be behind you with kill strikes. Remember it is preferable to step to the outside of the guy from behind. This leaves the last guy. Generally he will just run away. If not, it is now one on one.
Serious increases in strength and taiji lately. I was sparring with my 200+ lb. training partner. He came in quickly. I just lifted him up in the air and body slammed him. It took almost "zero" effort. I just "borrowed" his energy and slammed him. Made me think about one of my wrestling teachers, Eric Williams. Thanks.
My taiji has improved dramatically in the last few weeks. I was training with a friend, he grabbed me very tensed during sparring. I threw him back 15 feet, using taiji coiling energy in my body, without taking a step. I said, "Grab me again but now relax during the grab. Now I can only move a couple of inches that you are relaxed." In taiji, when people tense up, we find their center and displace them 15 feet away. In friendly training we throw people around in a horizontal angle. In a fight, that energy is applied in a diagonal angle and forced straight back into their body along with close range shattering energy to break a series of bones.
