On IQ, I got 133. It says I did better than 98.6% of the population.
On Brain Test, what your brain says about how you think and learn. I got:
"You are
"Most right-brained people like you are flexible in many realms of their lives. Whether picking up on the nuances of musical concerto, appreciating the subtle details in a work of art, or seeing the world from a different perspective, right-brained people are creative, imaginative, and attuned to their surroundings. "
This certainly explains why I have to shift my brain to left sided thinking in order to do my normal job as Senior Database Administrator/Senior Developer/Senior Data Architect.
"For the most part, you think more in terms of symbolism and abstraction instead of things that are more practical and straightforward. You are also likely to look at the whole of a situation instead of seeing it as a series of component parts. You probably tend to be more subjective than objective, allowing for context to color how you interpret a given situation. For you, there are likely very few definites in life, other than the fact that there is almost always more than one way to accomplish and think about things. "
On the right job test, I got:
"The right jobs for you would allow you to be Analytical and Creative." My job is 20% creative, and 80% analytical. Some weeks it is 100% analytical, and I usually get grumpy on those weeks. It explains a lot. It is the Architect part of my job that is creative.
That's weird because it says my ideal job is an Architect and the runner up job would be a Computer Systems Analyst. My current job is somewhat like this at 20/80 however
I think I would be most happy at 60/40. That is 60% creative, right brain work and 40% analytical left brain work.
"Research has shown that people whose personalities are well-suited to their job environments are happier and more successful. Remember, your Right Jobs were selected because they are good matches for your career personality — they would allow you to exercise the qualities mentioned above. They were not based on the skills you already have, or would need to perform those jobs. Those are things you can learn along the way."
This is a cool site.
My emotional IQ test score is 121. I did better than 92% of other test takers.
"Your Emotional IQ measures how well your emotions guide you towards smart decisions. In fact, increasingly, researchers are pointing to Emotional IQs as better indicators of overall success in life than traditional IQ tests alone. Healthy relationships and flourishing careers are impossible without interacting successfully with others. Even someone who possesses a genius Intellectual Quotient (IQ) can miss out on the wisdom that comes from understanding another human being. "
