Safe and Sound

Well I made it out alive safe and sound. I was disappointed that it was such a weak storm. I was hoping for an adventurous time. Oh well!! Our cruise is coming up this week.

Mass Hypnosis

It has been interesting lately to see the mass hypnosis conducted by the media on Hurricane Rita. It has driven people, many of whom I thought were once sane, into mass fear and hysteria. Many of these reports by local TV and radio stations are by people who have never lived in Houston during the Alicia Hurricane in 83'.

I choose not to relocate because I think it's fun. It's like survival training in the military, such as S.E.R.E but ten times easier. I'll take my chances and stay. I'll fight it out instead of many who run away. Many of these people who run away have fragile little minds that make them pee in their pants when they hear of danger. Many of these same people believe in some entity out there that will damn them to hell if they don't join the religion. For those living in fear, this is an effective way to recruit people into religion.

Many people talk about being strong (in the religious sense) and in terms of therapy. They say that in therapy, those who are strong are able to talk about their fears and feelings. Psychologists probe into their minds making people to talk about all sorts of weird shit. But in the end, it is these same people who run like chickens with their head cut off when something. They don't have the mental strength to handle it. Ever notice that in war, bombs can be going off and people dying from you left and right and the highly trained soldier still keeps on going and is able to stay alive and complete his mission or complete the escape. There is something about this kind of strength to keep going when the odds are down or when things are looking tough that most religions and psychological help talk about but never able to accomplish through their methods. Do their methods even work?

I personally have been through Alicia in '83 and thought it was fun. I don't know for a fact that if I'll make it out alive. As far as I believe, I know I'll make it out alive and I'll have some good times and memories with it. When the news talked about not going out into the eye of the hurricane when Alicia passed through Houston, I stepped outdoors because I wanted to experience it myself. I liked the adrenaline rush.

The new government of Iraq..

talks no different than Saddam Hussein. They do stupid things and make dumb accussations and expect anyone with a sense of intelligence to listen to them. There's no reason to believe the new government will be any better than Saddam's regime. We just stepped in there and wasted American lives and all for nothing. Just a setup for a repeat of the same. In fact, this is the history of US foreign policy. They did the same thing in Vietnam. US CIA trained the Viet Cong for the purpose of overthrowing the French out of Vietnam. They gladly accepted the aid and training and then decided they didn't want the US there either. The very people we train are coming to fight us again. In fact, the US CIA and had helped Saddam gain in the first place. It's just a circle that keeps on repeating itself. All the while wasting taxpayers money. We are charged an incredible tax rate here in the U.S., and what for? So that right wing can start wars. Who benefits out of all this loss? The contractors for the US military. All friends of the President. He may not have purposely done it for his friends, but he was too stupid to see how he was manipulated by his friends.

For the record, I am a patriot and believe in fighting to defend our country if it was ever attacked. I would be the first one wanting to be out there fighting. However, these wars have nothing to do with patriotism. In fact, we are not in much danger. The only justified war was with Afghanistan which was controlled by the Taliban who aided in bombing of the US World Trade Towers. Other than that, the whole Iraq thing was a scam.

The Army tries to scare and threaten citizens with 'we don't want to start drafting again'. Well good luck trying to draft people for a war that is not needed. Good luck getting that passed in Congress. Congress and politicians like to spend taxpayers money as if they are on a spendthrift. Guess who is footing the bill, us taxpayers. And for what? Vietnam today would be a good place to live if the French occupied it.

New Orleans

What happened is Biblical. God warned in the Bible crush the wicked with disaster of his choice. I'm not sure what the hoopla is about with taking care of the criminals but God intended to wipe them out. Anyone who traverses the city for any length of time knows it is a cesspool of crime and low morality. The paradoxical thing is that many Christians are trying to undo the work that God had initially intended to do. When the people of Mississippi went through tragedy, they helped each other. When the people of New Orleans went through tragedy, they fought with each other and even shot (with a gun) at the US Army soldiers that were there. This transportation of criminals to our cities has brought at least 3,000 known sex offenders from N.O. to Houston and 250,000 people from a culture of low morality and ethics. They people who actually have money will return to N.O. These criminals will find it more convenient to prey on the unsuspecting citizens of Texas, and especially Houston. Crime rate will increase quite a bit.

"Because of the wrath of The Lord, she [the city] shall not be inhabited, but she shall be wholly desolate: everyone who goes by [the city] shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues." (Jeremiah 50:13)

"Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it." (Isaiah 13:9)

"The wicked shall perish. The enemies of the LORD shall be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish-- vanish like smoke. " (Psalms 37:20)

Comments below:

"Yeah, I know this is a terrible thing to say, but as a native Louisianian, I don't know that I'd be all that disappointed if N.O. ceased to exist. The place is a cesspool of corruption, crime and is about three notches below a banana republic. If it no longer existed, LA would probably be a better state. "

"The Big Easy has turned into a city of lawlessness and death. The situation is so bad that it has many residents afraid for their lives ... looters are having their way. And armed gangs are roaming the streets. There have been reports of shootings, rape, and gunfire through the night."

Most of the newspaper articles and media about the event are written by people who know very little about what really goes on in that city. You realize how stupid America is when you hear that they donate $500 million to help fund criminal behavior. These people are dumb. Not only that but 2,000 new websites have popped up pretending to take donations for New Orleans and pocketing the money themselvs. By the way, that's not counted in the $500 M.

Myths of Vegetarianism

I found an interesting article on the myths.

Weight

I got on three scales at the gym today and they all showed me at around 178 lbs. Wow! I used to be 5'8" 158 lbs. before I joined the military. They trained us to eat a lot and eat fast. I put on a lot of size on the military, mainly because I was out in the field all day carrying 40-70 lb. packs on my back, lifting heavy things, carrying other soldiers on my back, and just being active all day. I ate like crazy but worked it all off. Now I work in an office, and realized the same eating habits are making me fat. I was slim most of my life mainly because I ate slow. Now I eat so fast without physical activity all day. I realized the only thing that changed was my eating habits. Well the scales shocked me, I've been buffing up but I noticed some of it is on the waist. So my plan is to work out more often, or eat less. Or maybe a little bit of both...

That picture of me holding the sword was taken a couple of weeks before my 34th birthday at 154 lbs. I'm 35 now.

Other Movie Reviews ...

Here are reviews of other movies I've seen. I usually watch them on opening night/weekend. Here are the backlogged ones I haven't posted.

Dukes of Hazzard. Interesting idea for a movie. I was motivated and thought it would be a fun movie to watch. Unfortunately, the acting and storyline just doesn't come to par. Johnny Knoxville is just a bad actor and flat character. There is nothing else to him besides 'get laid'. What a bore. The other actor, Sean William Scott was actually pretty funny. He was the best part of the movie but it wasn't enough to pull the movie through.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith. This is the hyped up movie about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. My wife loved this movie and had a blast. I thought it was a fun movie to watch but the storyline was so obvious that it was a bore. Brad Pitt's acting is not believable. Might as well been quick home movie that he shot ... because that's how real he came across as ... zero.

Batman Begins. If you haven't seen this movie, you need to. It is nothing like the other batman movies. The acting in this is intense. The storyline and character development is awesome. A must see.

Fantastic Four. Boring Four. Watching this movie is like watching a bad marriage. All they do is argue and criticize each other. "You never ...". Thumbs down.

Transporter 2 Review

The action scenes are starting to look like the ones in Jackie Chan movies .. the unrealistic kind. I didn't mind the the first movie because the story was interesting and the girl was kinda cute. It was an interesting story. The sequel, the storyline is obvious. It approached the level of quality that of Jackie's movies .. the kind of storyline they hash in 30 minutes. Overall I had to say I was disappointed. The Transporter is actually pretty dumb in this movie. They try to hint that he is ex-Special Forces but his fighting style is nothing of the sort. His intelligence level is lacking. If you want to see someone who resembles more of the fighting style and intelligence level of a Special Forces soldier, watch 24 with Kiefer Sutherland.

Beware of the Vegetarian!

I recently been informed that Adolph Hitler was a vegetarian and speaks of it regularly to his closest people. See when you don't eat the right diet, you get fucked up in the head (okay I am playing a little bit, please follow along). Look at Anthony Robbins, another vegetarian, ANAL personality just like Adolph Hitler. Those closest to Tony say he doesn't practice what he preaches. Not only that but he had an affair with his secretary while married to his wife. He later divorced his wife and married his secretary. Well goes to show you can't trust a vegetarian, especially female ones.

ha ha I'm just being silly today. I'm in a joyful mood.

Loyalty

Loyalty is a two way street. Those who are single sidedly loyal are foolish.
